Volunteers like you are the heart and soul of our work. We are humbled by and grateful for the hundreds of hours of hard work from people of all ages, abilities, and interests. They dedicate time to planting and maintaining habitat restoration sites, supporting our office staff, engaging the public, assisting with environmental education programs, aiding in hatchery operations, working on special projects and so much more!

During the 2022-2023 season, our community of nearly 300 volunteers contributed over 1750 hours of service! Join our community of incredible volunteers working to directly restore salmon habitat and populations by visiting our Events page for details and to sign up!

Current Volunteer Opportunities

Community Service - We welcome community service volunteers year-round.

Service Learning for Students - We can help meet service learning requirements for students depending on project availability. 

Corporate Community Building Restoration Events - Increase team morale while reducing your environmental impact through a day of team-building activities and habitat restoration. Learn more here!

Edmonds Stewards - Steward led volunteer events to restore local parks and green spaces in Edmonds. Click here to learn more about this program!

Environmental Education Interns - Looking to gain experience in environmental education? We occasionally take on college and high school interns to assist with education programs. Complete the form below providing your current level of experience and what you are looking for in an internship.

Public Restoration Events - Join us in restoring riparian habitat for salmon by planting native plants and removing invasive species. Restoration events typically take place October - April in conjunction with the planting season.

Hatchery Operations - Learn what it takes to care for 80,000 Coho Salmon by joining us at our hatchery events in the months of December - May.
