MLK Day Habitat Restoration Volunteer Event

  • Near Carnation Carnation, WA United States (map)

Come join us for a day of habitat restoration on the Snoqualmie River! Get your hands dirty doing some invasive species removal (grubbing Himalayan blackberry) and learn a little bit about restoration techniques while livestaking willows along the bank with members of our full-time habitat restoration crew.

UPDATE: Our original goal at this event was planting native willows and removing invasive blackberry, but due to the recent flooding what we most need help with is recovery! Come get your hands dirty detangling and repairing tree protection cages and give our native plants a hand.

This event will be taking place on private property near Carnation. The exact address will be shared with registered participants as we get closer to the event.

Volunteers ages 5+ with parent/guardian are encouraged to join us.

Limited transportation is available if needed. Contact virginia@soundsalmonsolutions.org for more information.

***NOTE: Due to the instability of the soil post-flood, we will be unable to offer a Honey Bucket on site at this event. However, there will be a gas station with a bathroom less than five minutes away.
